The Hat Man

Shopping in Cambridge today and really liked this colourful market stall. I've got enough hats like this to make me smile, so didn't buy one today.

My I-didn't-know-you-could-do-that moment came on realising I had lost my car parking ticket. Grrrr

(Back jeans pocket with phone never a good idea!)

I steeled myself for an argument with the car park guy and resigned myself to being charged for 24 hours parking. However, at the paying point, the remote voice from the "help" box asked me my car registration number and informed me that "the computer" had registered my arrival at 10.53 am and that the fee was ...I don't know ...something extortionate but not over £6.

I was very relieved and pretty impressed...
