Red-tailed Hawk

I first met this hawk about a year and a half ago. He is so beautiful with his mostly white body and interesting black markings on his wings, and gorgeous red tail (don't know if it's male or female)
The last time I saw this hawk was last fall, and at that time had a partner. I have not seen the other hawk yet. Maybe it's just not flying around the same time.
One thing I have learned about these hawks is they are startled easily. The minute I get out of my car, they take off!
But, I do know the tree he likes to hang out in! Today he was sitting there enjoying the sun. As you can see, he turned his head and saw me. Right after this he flew off!
