150 years old today

Lancashire County cricket club was created 150 years ago today.

Though still a supporter ('member') I haven't been to a match for a couple of years but I still follow the games and watch out for the scores.

I have seen 11 of these legends at Old Trafford, the late Brian Statham would be the oldest of those I actually saw play. Five of those named would have appeared in one team I watched, Bond, Engineer, Lever, Lloyd and Simmons.

I suppose it will soon be cricket again though listening the wind and rain outside its hard to believe that there will ever be a suitable day.
