...work,work,work,work work.......

Not actually at work today...at a course/conference in Manchester...at the Renaissance hotel......me, one other bloke and 10 women. 9.00 until 4.00.

Five sessions......40 print offs received.....6 pages of notes....12 tasks completed.

Some scary stuff....dictats from above....from people who have no qualifications or experience of doing the job...but who are allowed to set the rules for those of us who do the job...and decide the criteria we will be judged on......and move the goal posts and change horses mid-stream as the whim takes them.

Still...it had its perks......we all got a present....a canvas bag which you can see in the blip....I managed to "liberate" several pens.......and it was a posh hotel....so the refreshments were posh.

Coffee and white chocolate chip cookies on arrival.
Coffee and pancakes with maple syrup and berries at 11.00.
Chicken saltimbocca, goat's cheese and red onion tart, potatoes, carrots and red cabbage coleslaw............creme brulee.......and more coffee.....for lunch.
....and to finish the day at 4.00....more coffee served with Millionaires shortbread and a lemon sorbet.

There's another load of info being sent electronically......and then I can disseminate what I've found out to some of my colleagues.

Book marking tonight........just three lots of exam papers to do........and then I might get some time to myself this weekend....before work starts on our new kitchen!
