"Another Part Of The River" ...

...Yes, today here is another part of the old River Murray, not far from where we live and you can see where it's a lot wider there, good for the boats and water skiers, and Houseboats which wander down along there and tie up for the night or week..or longer and do a spot of fishing whilst they're at it..

...Now that would be nice wouldn't it..there are a few Houseboats along here, but not too many to make it crowded to appear as if they're living in someone else's pockets, just a nice old area, and everyone has their own spaces, then move on somewhere else.. A nice life isn't it.. (I do believe the houseboats are a little costly though to maintain as one of my nieces used to have one)..but anyway...

...We were on our way out to our favorite little eatery, you know, the one where Cocky was/is digging a hole in the bottom of his cage..and..

...For those who wouldn't have a clue what I'm writing about here - just flick back to 22nd Feb. and you'll see Cocky - he has a name actually so we discovered today - a wise name - but I can't remember it - one of those Buddist type names maybe of wisdom..and he's 33 years old, and still digging..he's quite happy, just digging...

...The owners said he's done it always..and is such a loveable bird...he has lots of things to take his attention and a big cage, just loves digging..

...And today - all we could see of Cocky was the tip of his white tail feathers - he'd made quite a bit of progress over the past week, dirt flying everywhere..and he backed out of his hole when he heard us and again appeared to indicate to me "Well?" ... And then disappeared back down his hole again...making grumbling noises..

...But rather than showing you another blip of Cocky - I'm showing you this scene..I thought you'd like this one for the moment..can you see the roots there of the old River Box, they'd make an OK seat I'd say to sit upon and to view the river..
