"The Next Day" ...

...Following my cataract operation yesterday...(I'd much rather the operation - than the aftermath...) this is about what I can see at the moment .. I thought it'd be WOW - but no WOWs came forth from the specialist's room this morning, however, he does assure me that all went well..

...Well - I hope so - and I thought I'd show you about what I can see at the moment!!

...I can only say that I'm pleased I didn't have both eyes done at the same time!! Now that would not be good for me..

...I haven't been able to reply to all of you wonderful people who commented on my (somewhat pathetic) photo yesterday - (I actually took that myself) in the hospital, looking most glamorous in my red cap and all?

...I think I must have had a thousand drops in my eye since I was writing on here last, well, it feels like it and I'm only typing by habit..I've had to get John to check this for me..he's been so good looking after my every whim, sometimes, when it comes to 'eyes' I don't make a good patient..although they said I did.

...I must THANK EVERYONE who wrote such beautiful words and sent such caring thoughts. prayers and wishes for my recovery, it's been wonderful of you and I'll get to answer you individually as soon as I can...

...It's John's Birthday today too, and we shall have to spend another day for his birthday, poor lad..he doesn't mind though he said, it's just another day he also said but to me, a birthday is a birthday..

...Our grand daughter Teigan 8, (whom you may have seen last September/Oct) when she was in hospital here rang last night to wish Papa a Happy Birthday - she said and I quote: "Nanna, I thought he was 67, not 71" ..No dear he's 71.."But I reeeely thought he was much older, in his 80's" .. No dear, he's only 71.."Oh that's just SO GOOD - that means - I can spend LONGER with him now can't I!!!" Sweet girl.. .Out of the Mouths of Babes, isn't it..

...I must say - our grand children are quite hilarious with what they come out with, they cheer us up at times like this..
