The Lowry

Two gigs in two days! Last night's curate's egg - East India Youth, very good: Wild Beasts, less so - was succeeded tonight by Goldfrapp at The Lowry. We'd originally planned to go in and see the support band, too, but in the end we decided to lounge around in the bar.

I really like the Lowry. It's a nice space to hang out in and the actual concert halls are lovely. We saw Stuart Maconie in the smaller one (The Quays) and tonight we were in the upper circle of the big one (The Lyric). Despite the fact we were near the back, we could see well and the sound was fantastic, as was Alison Goldfrapp herself. Once again, you can read our reviews here (once we put them up!).
