Sorting out who's who

A very grey day today with a little drizzle.

A morning with Mum to a church charity coffee morning buying 2nd hand books was one easy way to give.

There was of course some of a couple of football matches to watch on TV with Dad

Afternoon shopping with my sister at our favourite local independent shops and to be honest M&S Simply foods as well. We just about remembered to watch in the Grand National which years ago we would have studied and followed with great interest. Today it barely registered though I am pleased it was a small time trainer and veteren jockey that won.

After that we went out wildlife spotting despite the gloom.
We were very interested to see 2 Redshank in a traditional breeding area which as far as we are aware they have been unsuccessful in recent years. There was a great display from Snipe - one going 'Tick-tock, Tick-tock" in alarm hidden somewhere in long grass and another doing the superb 'drumming' flight overhead. Brown Hares also showing themsleves at last ( I thought they had disappeared )

Evening was lots of Classical music with Dad ( and Mum as well) Sibelius Violin Concerto & Symphony No5 and then Bruckner Symphony No 5 which I'm not familiar with and is rather long but I did enjoy it overall.

Oh yes, the Sheep, lots of them too. I don't anything about Sheep breeds but I know these are different from the normal local sheep. I love the look of the two black and white lambs that were being fed by Mum - I'll try to get a better photo of them another day.
