Mr. Fun's Birthday Breakfast

The Beach House Restaurant in Laguna Beach was the destination for our morning dining experience. We couldn't have ordered a more spectacular day--wow! On the outside balcony we sat in the sunshine, listened to the waves crash, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast of fruit, basted eggs, and wheat toast. Oh yeah, and champagne with a kiss of raspberry something, and a hibiscus flower (that was edible when the beverage was gone). Best hibiscus flower I've ever eaten and probably the first--it was soaked with the raspberry juice--yum.

We have had a wonderful 14th of December birthday with Mr. Fun. Bob dog went with us, so we parked the car in a covered parking structure so it would stay cool, and Bob dog slept until we got back to him.

Then we stopped at the "Friends of the Library" store in Laguna where we spent $13.00 and needed a pick-up truck to carry the goods all home. Mr. Fun found some wonderful Christmas CDs for a dime each, plus other stuff and I got 5 little books--2 that I'm real excited about: Power and Terror: Post-9/11 Talks and Interviews by Noam Chomsky and A Letter to America by David Boren, who is President of the University of Oklahoma.

Today's best gift was simply spending time together, and lots of text-messages from our daughter, son-in-law, grand-kids, and special friends Scott & Peg.

We both had salmon for dinner and shared a piece of chocolate birthday cake. So we've done a significant amount of calorie damage today, but that's okay. Birthdays are too special not to accent them with delicious food and yummy beverage.

Now as I type, we're watching the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring The Rockettes (DVD). It's great! Thanks for reading my page.

Good night from the Birthday House!

P.S. Everyone is entirely too busy during this season to comment, so hey--go wrap those gifts, make the gingerbread house, decorate the cookies, and finish the Christmas card addressing.
