Now you see it....
My day started at 2.30am today.
The electricity went off at 11pm. At about 2.30am I heard a really noisy machine outside and stuck my head out of the window. Once I was happy no one was nicking the lead off the church roof, I could hear laughing voices round the corner. Being wide awake and nosy, I downloaded a torch app onto my iPhone (as you do), chucked whatever clothes I could find on and wandered down the road. I found two neighbours, an engineer and a bunch of chaps with mini diggers digging up the road trying to the find the fault. We had a surprisingly upbeat chat and giggle for 20 mins or so and then I went back to bed. Surreal.
My knees were killing me and a miserable cold was taking hold so I had a rubbish sleep. Luckily the power came back on just as I wandered into the shower at 7am. Phew!
If only the rest of my day had been so eventful. It was dead quiet at work. I got loads done.
I had another shrink session today and we discussed what I'd learned about handling my emotions over the last few days. It was a really positive and productive session.
I bought 24 hot cross buns for the bishop's visit to church on Good Friday and then had an early tea. I'm feeling rotten now so am dosed up and will watch Masterchef and then head on up...
My blip is of a never before seen sight in my garden, a delphinium that has managed to get above 2 inches in height without being decimated by slugs (thanks to the hedgehog I reckon). I have no doubt me blipping it is the kiss of death!
