Thomas Carlyle

In the National Library of Scotland today. My prized Reader's Ticket needed renewed.

They have this statue of Thomas Carlyle....... Very far from being my favourite man! Such a pain in the neck.....

But I must forgive him for agreeing to live in marital non-bliss in a house called "Craigenputtock"! Isn't that wonderful?
