Birthday bouquet

This lovely bouquet of mixed colours was a birthday gift from Normous, my dear husband. It is such a treat to have flowers on a birthday and helps to make the day special. Photographed up close like this makes me think of 1950s Horrocks chintz.

The flower properly associated with 1 May is Lily of the Valley. They make a great thing of it in France where little nosegays of muguet are sold on the streets.

No progress on the computer front. We have been out for most of the day, having lunch with friends.
