Calm

Today was a relaxed, calm day. No travelling, apart from a drive down to Lancaster for a meeting, then the afternoon in the office. I didn't even have to dash to get the kids as they were going to see a film at school, so when I got home I went for a run out across Devil's Bridge, up through High Casterton and then back down the Sedbergh Road. A nice, easy five miles.

I followed that with a shower and then went up to school to collect Dan and Abi. I love that post-exercise feeling and even though the evening was cool, I was glowing.

I took this shot from the school playground, over the playing fields that will probably be developed into housing over the next few years. In fact, the town is set to change significantly and I've been wondering about a Flikr project to capture the town and its surroundings as they are, today. It'd be nice to get up early a few mornings next month and capture some shots with the streets empty.
