And they think it's all over....

well it really is now. After 25yrs the curtain came down on my football career today. 25yrs, barring University, with the same team and 4 of the same players has been a huge part of my sporting life. Very sad in some ways, and there were tears I'm unashamed to say, but also very happy. A few of us have known for a while this would be our last season and to go out with a hard fought 3-2 victory and in the process win the league's behaviour trophy for the 3rd time in 8 years is pleasing. To captain and manage this set of lads for so long has made me very proud but when the head (& body) tells you it's time to stop - it is time to stop. For years I've been saying that I haven't quite missed the boat when it came to a professional football career. Well today that boat well & truly sailed over the horizon....
