A brisk walk to victory..
I stuck to my word today especially after all the encouragement here yesterday and was out striding up to the back of the airport by 12:15 after a fairly quiet morning. It was very overcast which made it muggy but I didn't need an umbrella anyway!
A few fed up looking cows were out on the field at the country park bit and the crows were happily pecking about amongst the piles of dung looking for juicy flies. I didn't hang around long there and carried on up the hill. There were loads of people up there which surprised me listening to radios and staring towards the lights dotted along the runway. I only stayed ten minutes as I was conscious of the time and felt I had to be back at work for 2pm. I had to walk fast so I looked like a lobster by the time I got back in the house just in time.
There were loads of emails waiting when I got back and the afternoon flew by. My brisk walk had set me up nicely for the afternoon and I felt better and livelier than I had done for ages. The other good thing was that I got the programme I couldn't fix yesterday to work! Thank goodness for that! I just need to keep it up now.
In other news, Lucky isn't very pleased about this baby starling invasion. He was perched on the back of a garden chair staring in the window at me with a very fed up expression. He rolled his eyes at one stage when he was nearly knocked off his perch by two of them, squabbling behind him. It was very funny to see and today's picture is one of the many I took during the early morning food session. I'm pretty certain the little chap with the wide open beak is the same bird as yesterday.
