Cesme Marina

Yesterday we had a fairly lazy day. We took, the dolmus ( a mini-bus service ) to Cesme which is a largish port right on the end of this peninsula and walked the length of the sea front from the Marina, past the ferries, the odd sea anglers ,the trip boats and the fishing boats to the tiny beach at the far end. We'd brought swimming gear but there were no sunbeds and parasols so we ditched that idea and had a long lazy lunch at a sea front restaurant.

The Marina area is quite plush and absolutely full of yachts.. My blip shows the unicorn statue that is adjacent to the bridge where boats can enter the Marina. On the opposite side there was a wire sculpture of a mermaid but I thought the unicorn looked more striking. We headed back to our hotel after lunch and lazed and cooled down beside and in the hotel pool.

We've noticed one or two bridal parties in the village probably here to have there photos taken in the old village. Unfortunately I don't have any decent shots yet. I was walking round the back streets yesterday evening and chanced across a bridal photo shoot but it looked so intimate that I did not have the gall to shove my camera in as well.
