Super Sunday

David Hasselhoff and the Gumball Rally were in Edinburgh this weekend. So I headed to the mound for 10am and saw a vast array of supercars getting ready to set off.

The gumball rally is an annual 3000 mile international motor rally that takes place on public roads. This year the rally started in the United States in Miami, passed through Atlanta, and New York City before participants and cars were loaded onto planes and flown to Edinburgh. Apparently they're now headed to London, Paris, and Barcelona, before finally finishing in Ibiza.

I took about 100 photos and agonised about which one to blip. In the end I went for my favourite car, of course it would be a red Ferrari!

Afterwards I headed over to the Filmhouse to see The Wind Rises, Hayao Miyazaki's final animated film. Stunning animation and a beautiful film about a Japanese aeronautical engineer in World War 2. It's only showing until Thursday, so this was one of my only chances of seeing it in the cinema.

A beautiful day in Edinburgh today and a rather super Sunday! I'm off out for a few drinks later to round the weekend off. Hope everyone else has had a good one!
