Mono Monday #Reflections
Not bad for a Monday I must say.
After an hour's supervision with K and a team meeting, I got on with a few jobs and then took my half day off in lieu of the one I'm not getting next week owing to other people's holidays. So I bolted at 1.30pm and delivered a document to a client in Towcester to sign. I got home, changed, and found the lodger was home unexpectedly. After a quick chat, I dashed off to swimming, while he got on with the new wall, which is really coming on beautifully.
It was 21C outside and also in the water, reasonable sunny, and just fine. And I had the pool all to myself for the whole 40 minutes. Perfect. A group of three old fashioned airplanes circled above in formation for a good 10 minutes while a helicopter hung around and so I think they must have been filming them. I floated on my back and watched them. The sound of those propellor planes was really something. Very nostalgic.
I loved the swim but need ear plugs next time and will try hard to go again tomorrow now that I've bought a season ticket. I feel so at home in the water especially outdoors. I think it comes from being born and brought up for 5 years in Trinidad and being chucked in the deep end aged two by my Dad to sink or swim...Luckily I swam! (My blip is obviously of the reflections in the pool.)
I showered and headed straight off to Photography class, feeling more energised than I usually do after a day in the office. Unsurprising I guess. We were in the studio all evening, practising still lives and lighting and flash, which was great.
Andy Murray won his match. France won theirs, so all's well in the world tonight...
