Stop chewing that Turner!
Flash is a collector of balls, frisbees and sticks and to everyone's frustration does not give them up easily, even though he does enjoy having them thrown. One might think it's jealousy but he was like that before Luna arrived. Luna on the otherhand always drops the toys, knowing they will be thrown but she is very wary of Flash getting there first.
We went for a walk as Angie had disappeared to Memmingen to meet up with friend Kathi for some shopping.
Very English summer type day - clouds in all colours being blown by a warm wind. I would like to say "Scudding by" but only English clouds can do that. Don't know why but felt very English today - perhaps it was seeing the preparations for the Tour de France start in Yorkshire and the lovely scenes. Just after taking the photo, I lay down on the grass and did a bit of day dreaming.
Maybe the English should give up international sport and concentrate on those they invented that nobody else understands and move in to simply hosting these events. The Brits are world champions at organising these formal occassions and throwing in a good portion of pomp and ceremony. Can you imagine the Germans or Japanese naming an aircraft carrier with such a grand show.
With the residents of Munich and Garmish Partenkirchen having rejected a bid recently, Swindon gets my vote for the next Winter Olympics. There must be an appropriate downhill course as the Towns name derives from "Pig's Hill".
Perhaps I've been out in the sun too much or watching too much TV and hearing of Monty Python reunions. Angie would love to have had a ticket - she is a total fan and can recite Life of Brian backwards in German.
Maybe it was thoughts of daughter Kate whose birthday it is today. Wimbledon Women's Final Googalong vs Evert was for others a highlight that day - not for me luckily. Happy Birthday Kate and we will celebrate together soon.
