A change..

..from the flowers.

Interesting to note how much further south the sun is setting from this blip on 24th June.

Went down the lodge again today, and weeded a couple of blocks, carrots and spinach. Did a harvest of salads, brassica leaves and lettuce. Brassicas are not growing properly, the soil is a bit impoverished and needs feeding. Result - the leaves are a bit on the yellow side, and they've shot into flower giving tougher stems. The brassicas I have on the croft are either too small, or have gone too far. I shopuld have enough to last, but I'm not overly happy..

Back to the croft to harvest kale, calabrese, kohl rabi, chard, a bit of salad (rescued from stuff that's gone to seed). Then back up to the house to weigh up, harvest pea shoots, and edible flowers.

Then the delivery run, and a pint in the hotel, and back home for 8:30. Tea cooked, eaten, and then out on the hill to capture the blip.
