Life in a Northern Town

Heading North

We are leaving this paradise today and heading north for craziness.

It has been idyllic here, a real haven and we are all very much on Island Time. The weather has been glorious, the rain has come at night, and apart from the Seven Mile Bridge incident, it hasn't affected us at all.. Yesterday was slightly more cloudy which was a blessed relief as the temperature was in the 90s, but needless to say I burnt for the first time due to slack application of sun cream.

I shall miss sipping piña coladas by the lagoon, but my inner space geek is keen to see rockets and my 16 year old Simpsons geek is keen to get to Springfield.

As predicted, Sarah won our World Cup sweepstake because she always does. Bloody Brazil let me down. We have enjoyed watching the US coverage, it seems the country is embracing soccer at last.

No spiders dropped on my head out of a coconut tree, and no breakfast to report yet today.
