"Byeeeeee Mate"

Rain stopped play in Manchester today. We were up with the larks (well one lark called Audrey) so we took an early morning drive up the M60 to Head Over Heels soft play in Cheadle.

It was so funny seeing all the parents waiting in cars for the doors to open. There was literally a stampede at 9.30am!

Audrey was very very excited and started dancing and hugging us both when she realised where we were. Angus did most of the playing and I took my newspaper into the coffee bar for a break which was blissful! Audrey finally ran out of steam and joined me in the cafe for a snack of raisins (see pic).

Home for beans on toast and naps (all of us).

A joiner came round to look at the kitchen this afternoon and to work out a quote for the floor which we want to finally get sorted. He was a proper Manc and Angus and him were embroiled in classic manly chat about wood finishes and joinery. Audrey kept running in and out and as he was leaving, he shouted "Bye Mate" to Angus at the door, Audrey suddenly hollered down the busy street after him "Byeeeeee Mate". We haven't stopped laughing since!!!
