PARTY!!

One of our "Crazy but fabulous" days. We left the house at 8am, having been up since 5am. Mummy had made a scarf, a skirt and finished decorating a cake by 6am. We got the train to Scarborough where we met Granny and Grandad. A walk back to their house for a great big play, and giving Granny her birthday presents. Katie was incredibly excited to go to their house, it's been a while. Katie was adamant she was extremely hungry mid morning then ate a giant lunch. Mummy was allowed a wee hour at the sewing shop (and loved it!) While I was out, Katie had them both in our bedroom along with most of her Grandad's house toys.

When I got back, it was time to get ready for the first party of the afternoon. It was Lilly's birthday party - the first 5th birthday party for one of our postnatal group. They live in a huge farmhouse in the forest, so the children had fun exploring outside and playing the usual traditional party games. Katie won pin the tail on the donkey, although she had the advantage of not being spun round, and not wearing a proper blindfold as they freak her out. Teatime brought cupcake decorating, ice creams and such. A happy party!

We got back to G&Gs house to get ready for the second party of the day, Granny's birthday meal. We went to a really lovely Italian restaurant. Katie had a wonderful time with her cousins and did fantastically well during what was a very very late but fabulous evening. She was asleep within seconds of being snuggled into bed.
