Trentham Gardens

We tried to get Audrey and Tilly to pose in the same shot but Audrey wasn't having any of it! She gave Tilly lots of cautious half-smiles despite talking a good game all the way to Stoke-on-Trent in the back of the car. "Mummy we go see Tilly. Audrey give Tilly cuddle" etc.

I rather suspect she was a little jealous of this lovely little bundle getting my attention.

Had a lovely catch up with Nottingham friends today. We drove a democratic hour each and met in the middle at a rather rainy, yet very busy Trentham Gardens which it turns out isn't just a park but a huge sprawling complex of shops, garden centres and cafés. Definitely worth swinging off the M6 for if you're ever in that part of the country. I bet it is stunning in the sunshine from what I saw of the gardens too!

Audrey isn't easy to eat out with at the best of times as she doesn't really sit still but we managed a good two hours with colouring, food, Peppa Pig etc. I always feel really mean though as she loves to run around and is trapped in a high chair. I had a lovely natter and catch up with the new parents who are doing a sterling job and both looked great!
