self portrait - contentment
The Dog whisked me off to the Dunblane Hydro for the weekend, it was a very last minute idea, based mainly on the idea of celebrating (Bry starts his new job on Monday) and Arlo being at my mum's all weekend.
Being the indulgent sort of individuals, we thought a weekend away would be perfect.
And it is.
I am rubbish when it comes to self portraits and to posing and actually, I am pretty rubbish at getting my photo taken but I wanted to try out the timer on my camera and I thought it would be nice to get a picture of me complety at ease and in the moment.
I feel like a poseur though.
Anyway - the reason for the contentment, the happiness, the massive boost of positivity, I cannot truly say. We woke up in our beautiful hotel, on a beautiful day and everything was just absolutely fine. How nice.
I woke up and knew that life is full of possibilities and that has to be a good thing. And so, the possibilities took hold - we went swimming, we had lunch, we drank a lot of french martinis.
Can't really ask for more than that in a day can you? Before we did any of that, we whacked up the volume on this song and felt completely justified in our happiness.
