Crucible 2
A visit by train to Gloucester today and to the Cathedral for the sculpture exhibition, Crucible 2, an amazing exhibition of contemporary sculpture, featuring 100 works of art by 61 sculptors, many of them internationally acclaimed artists.
It was so hard to choose a favourite sculpture to share with you, but I finally managed to whittle it down to these three, best viewed LARGE:
1) Thames by Jordi Raga: in the crypt, where Harry Potter was filmed
2) Fallen Angel by Damien Hirst: in front of the high altar in the Presbytery
3) Snail by Michael Cooper: in the 14th century cloisters with the earliest surviving fan vaults in the world

In creating the collage, I've noticed that the individual photos have lost some of their original clarity and sharpness, don't know why that happened....
