Christmas Briefings

Squidge enjoying a view of the moon and the stars tonight in Chorlton. It was the Christmas lights turn on and everyone from our local community was out (luckily she'd had a three hour nap at lunch so was fully recharged for it!)

Children from nearby schools had made lanterns and made a procession from the park to the green for carols. I had a hot cider and Angus had a hot chocolate and marshmallows so we were definitely feeling festive (even if Angus was limping around!)

Introduced Squidge to Father Christmas but she was a bit frightened of him and turned away when he spoke to her! We'd been to the library today and borrowed some Christmas books so she's well briefed already. As she was going to bed tonight she said "Father Christmas not there yet Mummy" as she pointed to the bedroom window. She catches on quick does our kid!

Had a lovely day reconnecting with her today, lots of walks, fresh air, baking, a library trip, some dancing and a Christmas outing. No wonder she's so tired!
