I've Got Mail

This lot was waiting for me when I got back today - a very good post day! There was a bill too, but that would have spoiled the image. Accompanying the card in the middle was an Alessi juicer, which is a rather funky bit of kitchen kit, now sitting on my work-surface. Thanks girls!

I left the UK and its beautiful weather at 8:15am, 45 minutes later than scheduled. I do love it when pilots feel the need to go into technical detail when there's a delay in moving off from the stand. This morning it was something to do with the mechanism to draw fuel from the tank. It obviously got fixed, because we got back, but I would have been none the wiser (and happier) if he'd just said that they were still re-fuelling.

Fast forward two hours and five minutes and I arrived to somewhat colder and more miserable weather, which had me reaching for my cardi when I stepped outside the airport terminal. An hour later, after dropping my bags at home and picking up my swipe card, I went to work and came crashing back down to earth with a thud, as I trawled through two weeks' worth of emails.
