Last day
Our last day in Denmark and the weather has been superb again so it was another big walk and some beach strolling.
What did we think of the country? We'll we loved it. Would we come back? Maybe.
I've been a few time in the past on business trips to Copenhagen and Odense but I've never spent more than a couple of days here before so to be in one area of the country for a month was a bit of a change.
It seems to me that Denmark is a country where everything works - except my mobile, of course.
For example take the recycling system. They make it easy to recycle your waste. There are bins in almost every car park and each supermarket is obliged to take all your empty bottles and give you your deposit back. You put your bottles through a magical machine which identifies the manufactures, counts up the value of the returns and prints an ticket which you can redeem against you shop bill. Why can't we have that?
Things we hated? Cars on the beach. Ok so it what has always been done here but to see cars being driven right down to the water so they can be used as a mobile changing room, just sucks. I don't want to look and see if it's ok to cross the sand before a tosser in a 4x4 knocks me down. So nil points for that.
That aside we?ve had a great time just groovin? around.
