No not a Ferrari.....just the place where I work!

These are the keys I pick up every morning and take to work.
Not counting the electronic key there's 13 of them!
Who needs 13 keys for God's sake?

Well apparently I do!

There's a master key for all the doors, but also seperate keys for my lab, the Prep Room and my office!
Then there's the key for the fume cupboard, the gas shut off, the electricty shut off, the windows, the cupboards and drawers, the filing cabinet, my locker, my office window and one key that I have absolutely no idea about!!!

I bet the Head warder of Strangeways ( the local prison) has fewer keys than me!

I probably use about 3 of these key in a day plus the electronic key, but you can be sure if I left them at home, that'd be the day when I needed all of them.

I used the fume cupboard key today for the first time in 13 months because I was showing a class of 14 year olds the dangers of smoking, pulling the smoke through Universal Indicator, lime water and layers of cotton wool.. then showing how the smoke contained acids, carbon dioxide and monoxide, tar etc etc etc.

And what did I do at break time?

Why I went outside for a cigarette with my mate hebs of course!

Teachers, eh!?
