Farmers Market
Just walking through the Farmers Market feels healthy, but then we get all the "loot" home and I take it in my hands under the faucet to rinse it all and the aroma and perfume of each item is luscious.
The fragrance of the peaches is a sweet delicious perfume. The onions have a robust and hearty aroma. Tomatoes bring thoughts of Italy and the Mediterranean. Imagining the zucchini sautéed with a dash of salt, pepper, and parmesan makes me immediately hungry. I once read that asparagus is the "champagne" of vegetables -- well, that guaranteed their invitation to our dining table. The strawberries just melt into sweetness in my mouth.
So dinner this evening is going to overflow with freshness. You're invited. Come on, we'll set a place for you.

Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
P.S. Tomorrow our family will gather for the memorial service for Mr. Fun's brother, David, who died July 27th. Because summer had the family scattered, David's adult children waited till September for this meaningful gathering. I'm sure tomorrow will be filled with meaning and emotion.
