Experimenting

One of the birthday presents I was given by my friends in the office last month, is a pop-up photography tent thingy. It has 4 different backdrops and is to help me with indoor macro shots.

My first willing volunteer for the tent treatment is this Lalique vase. I don't, as a rule, like ornaments, but I do have a weakness for Lalique. This was the first piece I bought, and as with the others (I only have 3 pieces) I brought it back from Berlin with me :-)

This photo isn't great (or that interesting) and I realised when taking it, that I have a lot to learn about lighting. But, it's a start.

Right. Best go and write some Christmas cards.....
