Entertaining Ourselves
Mckenzie's grandma was rehearsing the songs for Sunday with the worship team when we stopped by the church this evening. In this photo I'm still all bundled-up in my coat. It's cold here.
As the music played, Mckenzie was bouncing around in her ballerina costume: tutu, pink tights, and jeweled crocheted thingy for her hair. She had just come from dance lessons.
She's a 5-year-old overflowing with energy. I just wanted to slip off my shoes to dance with her, but I'm not as cute as she is and I thought the team would think I was crazy and I didn't want to confirm their suspensions, so I refrained.
Instead I went the opposite direction by settling her down with my camera and suggesting we take our photo. She loved it and quite frankly so do I, but it is not what I had planned to post today.
For the month of December I wanted my daily blip to be Christmas decorations. So I guess today Mckenzie and I are the holiday decorations. I think she's adorable. The Bible advises that we should become like children; Mckenzie is a fabulous example.
Good night from Southern California.

P.S. Thanks for the comments on yesterday's "birthday boy." I think that is my all time favorite blip.
