Merry Christmas one and all

On Christmas day, I take the responsibility of setting the early alarm to get up and put the turkey on. This morning however the early alarm was my gran phoning at 5:45am to say the power was out. So whilst mum went to see to granny I decided to get up and do some jobs.

Once the turkey was on and granny had tea we headed for an early morning drive to the lake. We missed the best of the sunrise but the sky was still pink as we headed to a second vantage point.

The day panned out nicely, relaxed morning with some present opening. My sister and her husband have Christmas at hers so we skype'd her in on our present opening. A leisurely lunch followed before a visit from Chippy and Ash. A little snooze and then turkey sandwiches for dinner.

Unfortunately granny wasn't well in the evening but after a visit from the doctor she seems to have perked up.
