Pickled

Which is what I will be if I carry on the way I've started... hic! Oops. Strained and bottled the sloe gin this morning as mum and dad were going home and I needed them to be courier for me. Oh my goodness it tastes divine. I realised as I was slurping a (small!) sloe g&t that I'd only had one slice of toast for breakfast and it probably wasn't a good idea to be drinking yet. So I've had some cereal and feel better now. Hehe.

Family time slobbing with a DVD now. Drinking. Nibbling. Yummy.

It's not exactly going to be quiet now mum and dad have gone home, but we're going to miss them. (Especially in the morning as Ben has developed a rather nice habit of getting out of bed and going in to find them and wake them up, giving Ste and I a nice little undisturbed lie-in. Which we've used for SLEEP. That precious beyond all other commodity.) It's been a really wonderful few days. Very little work done on the house but that was the point - to have a holiday.

Not sure what we're going to have for lunch today. But given that we're happily chomping on cheesy biscuits at the moment I don't think that's going to be much of a problem.
