Happy Land

14 months 12 days

Katie got some happy land for Christmas. She got the dolls house, the vets, the farm and a load of figures. Her complete favourite from it all though is a tiny little rabbit! She spent ages playing with them today and misplaced the rabbit so was searching all around, desperate to find it.

We went to church this morning, the creche rota had got a bit muddled so a couple of us ended up doing creche who werent meant to. We had two new babies, brothers, one of whom curled up on me and went to sleep, teh other curled up under the gym and went to sleep! Katie wandered round, sharing raisins with the others and occasionally looking a bit confused at me.

Her cousin came in the car afterwards so Katie was refusing to go to sleep. We arrived home to a surprise, but wonderful phonecall from my best friend in australia - with the news that they are coming back for her son's first birthday and christening, would I be his godmother. Totally excited!! But it meant Katie was playing and uninterested in sleeping. Not normally a problem, but we were headed out to a birthday party.

This was Katie's first party at somewhere other than a friends house. She fell asleep in the pram on the way there, slept through two-thirds of it. It was a brilliant party, the church has a giant inflatable with tunnels and things, one friend took their inflatable slide and bouncy castle, we took our ball pool, another took their inflatable pirate ship, it was a fantastic idea. She did wake up, in time for pass the parcel - she won a flump, her first ever sweet! After munching lots of mini cheddars, she decided she felt brave enough to go on the bouncy slides with all the five year olds and had a fantastic time!!
