Saturday's Story

This was supposed to be the day that we checked-out of our rented vacation house. Mr. Fun called the property manager and learned that this place is available for another day, so we are staying over one more night.

My sis was also scheduled to leave today and couldn't extend her time, so she packed and we helped her get her things to the car and before we said our farewells, Mr. Fun set the camera on "auto" so we could capture the moment. Then she programed her GPS and headed out.

We decided to retrace our steps from yesterday and drove back toward downtown. We stopped for lunch at the same place we'd eaten at the other day when I had discovered "the hat."

We ate lunch, walked next door, and bought "the hat." We strolled through downtown again today, and then went back to the car and drove past the mission and up the scenic drive so that we could see the view. From there we could understood why this is call Pierpont Bay. Amazing sight!

Late in the afternoon Mr. Fun decided to be a kid again and have another go at flying a kite. While he was doing that Chloe thought she needed to guard the beach. Mr. Fun was having so much fun that several kids wanted to help him, so he let them hold the kite string while he came inside to get two other kites he had and he took those out and gave all three kites to the kids.

Today's sunset was once again an original. It was similar to the past several, but it was original and a beautiful work of art. Because it's Saturday, the crowd that gathered to watch was larger than normal.

This has been a good day. It's been a "hat" day and "the hat" will make an appearance here in the near future but not today because, after all, it's really not a "beach" hat, but it is a "riding" hat. So I'm looking for a horse (not really).

Well, it's late now. We've had a fabulous Saturday and I think tomorrow we're going home, but my blip tomorrow will be the proof of whether we arrived home or found some other adventure, because we have no appointments until Tuesday, so we may wander.
