.......a working 'half' living in central Scotland and with a strong desire to retire and enjoy the finer things in life.

I'v always been a keen point 'n' shoot photographer eager to get better. Been looking at Blip for last few months and finally taken the plunge. Hope joining will help me improve my photography skills(?) by forcing me to get my camera off the 'auto' setting and take more photographs.

Can't promise to do it every day though...... work full-time and don't always get the opportunity


Update: April 2013 and now I'm a gran to my adorable grandson of 4 months, Ruaridh (that's him with me in the pic)

My photography skills haven't improved much - still on 'auto' and have given up trying to understand f stops and iso's for now - still struggle a bit with everyday blipping.

I've not retired yet and still work as a secretary in a residential home and day service provider for adults with learning disabilities.

* I enjoy music and my tastes range from Gilbert & Sullivan to Pavarotti, Lionel Richie, George Michael, Rod Stewart, and Kiss (I know, that surprised you!).

* I'm enthusiastic about history and very passionate about my country.

* I love going to the cinema. I love photography, reading, eating out, shopping, Rhod Gilbert, Andalusia, MOH and my family ..... and blip.

Update: February 8, 2014 I've had a 3 month break. Nothing much has changed but I'm going to try and get back to blipping again. I do miss it but not enough to do it every day so I'm going to dip in and out whenever I can.
