hazelh led the team that created the blipfoto journal biography of World War II diarist Lorna Beatrice Lloyd. If you decide to read Lorna's journal, please start at the beginning: here. See also the account of how we undertook the project between 31st August 2019 and 11th January 2021.

OK, I admit it: I am addicted. Read the review of days 201-300.

I'm now taking the photography element of blipping much more seriously. It somehow doesn't seem right to snap a quick shot on the iPhone as something that "will do" at the end of a busy day (even though this often happens!) In fact, even my "proper" camera now seems inadequate for the job, so guess what I want for Christmas? I've written a review of the past 100 days, noting all the highs and lows, as part of my 200th entry. Do click through and take a look.

What hazelh said at 100 blips
The "experiment" mentioned I signed up to Blip (please see below) has turned out to be even more interesting than I anticipated, but all you experienced blippers already know this (of course...)
In short, my world had changed. For example, I now care as much about the light outside for taking pictures as I do about the temperature for running; my photography practice is shifting from archiving the antics of my friends and family to attempts to create images for a wider audience to enjoy; and I have discovered that I really do spend far too much time at work.
The highlights on my journey so far have included: "meeting" some lovely people; learning how to improve my photography practice; and inventing and playing games on the site. I also must mention the kindness of the Blip community members who generously gave me permission to use their photographs in my inaugural professorial lecture, and Joe and Graham at Blip for allowing me to use blipfoto.com to illustrate the main points of my presentation. I was especially delighted with Joe's journal entry for 15th March 2012.
And then there was my highly controversial and illegal 100th blip...

Blipping is an interesting experiment for me as someone who is so much more used to dealing with text than with images.
