After many years of P&Ss, I just got my first *real* camera last Wednesday... an Olympus EP-2! I've been itching to learn the fundamentals of photography for years now, so I figured the retro Pens would be perfect. Its got a great manual mode, you can adapt pretty much any vintage glass to the u43 mount, there is no flash, and the auto-focus is slow (compared to DSLRs)... basically no crutches. Much like learning to drive a manual transmission (which *cough* I still need to do), the best thing to do is just get one and practice everyday. I'm hoping blip and my new Pen will help me in that endeavor. And besides, this will be a much needed distraction from my PhD defense, which is rapidly approaching!
