...Why do we never get an answer.....
except tonight we did.
Quiz night....after a very indifferent start to the season we needed a win tonight....and we got it by beating the Pack Horse....a team comprised of teachers.
Round 1 Won 5-4 thanks to our knowledge of British Olympians of the 1960's and Kings
Round 2 Individual questions Drew 7-7, because I'm crap at defunct supermarkets. Total 12-11
Round 3 Lost 4-5. Total 16-16
Round 4 Won 4-1 because the Pack Horse had a stinker of a 2nd question and had to stick on 1 point
Round 5 Won 9-6 due to our knowledge of Hitler's hiding places. Total 29-23
Round 6 Won 11-4 because I got the only 4 point score in the round and the Pack got one wrong for a bonus point to us.
Total 40-27
Round 7 Lost 5-8 Total 45-35
Round 8 Drew 7-7
Final score 52-42.
No quiz for me next week, Dad is visiting and probably no quiz the week after as it's the Angling Club AGM.
The back is a lot better, slept in my own bed last night, managed a full day at work today, pain down to an annoying niggle due to carefully spaced use of painkiller cocktail.
