Macro Practise!!

Well I guess you've got to start somewhere and after the rain cleared this afternoon I raced out to see if I could find a flower with raindrops on it so that I could practise taking shots with my new macro lens.

I have to confess I don't know the name of this native plant but we have one and one only growing just above the carport.  

I can see already that taking macro images is going to be quite a challenge and I'm going to need some guidance but in the meantime this was the one we picked today.  I wish you could see the size of the flower in real life.  All I can say is that the macro world is a world of its own.
