On A Mission

One of the companies who run mud runs...Nuclear Races...put on a secret mission. Tonight I did it with my friend Sidney. I actually think I'm bonkers.
The mission was to run 5k, in the dark, taking in at least 5 obstacles.....video, photos and proof of run was needed.
Our first obstacle was nice and easy. The one I've blipped. We climbed over the gate at the end of my drive.....one ticked off already.
We then ran from there over to Hylands Park. We couldn't get through the main entrance as it was locked. We ran further up the road where I knew there was a gate we could climb over....and over we went.
It was dark but the moon was quite bright which helped. It was a bit scary being somewhere you shouldn't have been and it was so dark and quite. All of a sudden some birds flew from a tree and we nearly pooped ourselves. We also had to do a runner from security. All this for a medal.
But we carried on jogging and found tree trunks to climb over, benches to climb on and over, more fences to climb etc. We even found a really muddy stretch and rather than walk through it, in true mud running style we laid down and crawled through it.
We did our 5k, we did our obstacles and we thoroughly deserve our medals....mission well and truly completed.
All we have to do now is forward the evidence of our mission and hopefully we will get our medals.
So if you see people doing strange things in the dark....they could be doing the same thing.
