Per Kelt,

This character is Stepan Honc from the Czech Republic. Today in Market Square he was getting ready to busk with Pavlina Bastlova, a brilliant musician playing flute, recorder and harp. Also a lovely vocalist with a haunting voice.They perform a blend of medieval folk and Celtic music  from many countries which Stepan re-arranges. A founder member of Per Kelt, Stepan graduated with honours in music at the Conservatory Pardubice. He is also a classical guitarist and has won awards. but now puts all his time and energy (which is considerable if you've ever watched him play) into Early Music. There are four in the band, and although they have a diary full of concert venues, Stepan and Pavlina can often be seen in Cambridge busking and selling their CD's. When they are playing concert venues they dress in costume of the time. I had been to the library and was just sitting down for a while when they turned up. Here Stepan is filing his nails and has painted them with a hardener.  For me it is a treat to hear them as I love their type of music.
