Foundation Color War 2012

Today's run was tough. We ran Westfall road, which is basically just two and a half miles of rolling hills. We ran with Bunk 4 and it wasn't impossible, but it was definitely a hard run. After lunch, everyone split up and went to meet with their teams. I was on the Blue team this year (first names A-D). Our entrance to the field of play was cool, but it required us to wear sweatshirts with the hoods up at the hottest part of the day, and that wasn't the best idea. But it looked great anyway. I did the same two events as last year (the Hula-Hoop Relay and the Human String Relay) and we did well in both of those events. It really came down to the tug-o'-war to decide the winner. It was a tough battle that lasted a long time, but the Blue team was victorious! Our team cheer wasn't as cool as the Red team, but we didn't rehearse ours at all and we made it up on the spot. After the dance party that followed the announcement of the winning team, everyone got cleaned up for dinner. I proudly wore a blue shirt to dinner and after that, we went to watch the soccer games that were taking place tonight. I stood with John and Anthony for most of the time and when the games ended we went to the canteen to hang out. We spoke for over an hour about anything that popped into our minds and then we hurried back to our bunks to make it back before curfew.
