Long Melford

We didn't get out and about till late in the morning - too busy talking! We walked into Long Melford, in a poll by an  estate agency came 7th in most desirable villages! It has houses from the 14C down the longest high street in England - 2 1/2 miles long! We only did the tip of it, eating in this pub built 1450! So many incredible houses! A small album here, not much time to take photos, but I have loads to process from a visit later in the week! Once a rather disappointing lunch had been eaten we were off to French Dwellers dad who is in a Care Home ( decorated like some plush hotel!) about 40 mins away. He is a little deaf and physically frail and rather forgetful. I knitted as French D tried to sort out his facebook so he could log on and see her photos. This took a long time and involved the usual verification of all sorts of things involving changing passwords! He remembered both his  fathers RAF number and his Naval number!!
A drive home in the dusk past more thatched cottages than one could shake a stick at! More talking  ( not sure we stopped all day!) and then bed both feeling very weary!
