St Omer

We had a leisurely morning, only getting up about 9am, but then that's 8am in the UK, so not really that late. We met Rose & Randy and went to a cafe in the main square for breakfast. It got to 18 degrees and felt quite warm in the sun.

We wandered around the market, Rose bought some scarves and a top, and I got some shoes and some strawberries. Oh and Alan bought me a lovely bouquet of flowers - white roses and lilies.

We then went to see our friend François in his little shop, had lunch at Le Spey and had a lovely welcome from Dominique the owner - no matter how long it is between visits, he still remembers us and always seems pleased to see us.

After a bit more shopping, we had a stroll through the park, stopped for a drink and now we're just chilling at the hotel before going out to dinner.

Today's blip is of a typical Saturday morning in St Omer - the market and the cafe culture which I love. This lovely town will always be my second home.

Anyway I'd better go and get ready, hope you're having a good weekend!
