Knitted tree

A day of visiting different parts of Vienna.  From the Hunterwasserhaus - which sought in 1985 to challenge boring modern architecture with colours and design - shades of Gaudi.  the blip seems to me to sum up the colour and free-style of the place, now overlaid with tourism!

We then went on to the Secession Building established as the world's first contemporary art exhibition space and now housing the Klimt Beethoven frieze - see extra.  and a large open space for modern exhibits.  The other extra is of part of the work by Jean-Luc Moulene (it was a bit more accessible than the other works elsewhere in the building but even then...)  the yellow/ black lines are all part of the exhibit.  All I could think of was a windy day in the Western Isles!

Rounded off the day at a concert in the Orangerie at the Schonbrunn Place (along with hundreds of other tourists).  Mozart; Strauss; Lehar.  The Palace is on tomorrow' list before packing up to head home on Monday.
