Feeding the ducks

We went to see Granny and Grandpa today - as ever, there is a tipping point when the boys need to get outside and run off some of their energy. Mum and I took them out for a walk to the meadows - a very muddy walk, it turned out.  The youngest enjoyed the ride in the push chair for most of the time, but eventually saw sense and got out and had a run around. The eldest had a great time running about and when we got to the river, rather than admiring the ducks, he felt it was his duty to clear the place of them, wielding a stick he had conveniently found.  There is absolutely no denying, he is a little boy.

The husband is away for the weekend, so I'm already looking forward to Sunday when he comes back.

There's an extra picture of the youngest also looking (or not looking) at ducks and swans.
