Waiting for Storm Hector

A windy morning, but plenty of sunny spells, and then a few showers.  By mid afternoon the gales started and showers eased.

Another day working at the Croft House Museum.  Most visitors today have been happy to sit by the fire, and keep cosy indoors.  Mam has been over for a cuppa this evening, and then a big walk around Scalloway with Sammy.  Feet up for the night and fire on.  Watching a terrible film based in Shetland, Sacrifice; The Body in da Bog.  Not even Shetland scenery or accents :)

Storm Hector hit the isles this afternoon, and been gales since.  Hopefully it will calm by the morning.  Various damage around the place, but mostly flowers, trees etc.  Hopefully the wild birds won't be hit bad.  I went for a run in the car at lunchtime, didn't see much storm action, just scenery waiting patiently.  Looking towards Sands of Scousburgh and Peerie Spiggie, taken from Rerwick.
